IUMRS-ICEM 2008
International Conference on Electronic Materials 2008
Hilton Sydney, Sydney, Australia - 28th July to 1st August 2008

Thank you!

All the prize papers were of a very high standard and the presenters of each poster were also commended on their ability to present their work clearly.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the winners once again and to thank the organizers for all their help in arranging the conference. The conference was lively, well organized and enjoyed by all the delegates.

Congratulations to all of our prize winners:

Professor Jim Williams

The IUMRS-ICEM conference series is run every two years. Previous ICEM conferences have been held in Korea (ICEM 2002), San Francisco (ICEM 2004) and Nice (ICEM 2006).

IUMRS-ICEM 2008 will be held in Sydney Australia and will focus on the following themes:
· Semiconductor Processing and Devices
· Nanomaterials, Nanostructures, Nanophotonics and Nanoelectronics
· Energy
· Properties and Characterisation
· Thin Films, Surfaces and Functional Materials for Specific Applications
· Education and Networks

Over 1100 papers will be given in 19 topical symposia covering the conference themes, a Materials World Network meeting, an Energy Forum, an Industry Forum, and student events over the 5 days of the conference. The conference format includes: 5 plenary lectures from Nobel Laureates and distinguished scientists, invited and contributed oral presentations within parallel symposia, and poster sessions.

Many symposia intend to publish proceedings.

There will also be an exhibit involving international companies.
